How does the 7-Day Pass work?

It includes every feature available in Monthly and Annual, including transcription, conversation context, profiles, memory, every response mode and every supported AI model. It is a one-time purchase with no automatic renewal. Activate the key within 30 days of purchase; the seven-day access period begins when you first activate it in the desktop app.

Why is AI usage not included?

Pair Companion runs Claude Code or Codex through your locally authenticated account, not through model API keys of its own. There are no tokens to mark up, so we charge nothing for AI usage, and your provider relationship stays under your control. The flip side: an active Claude Code or Codex subscription is required for Pair Companion to work.

How does the one-computer limit work?

Your license binds to the first computer you activate. A controlled transfer process allows legitimate hardware changes while limiting continuous account sharing.

Can I cancel?

The 7-Day Pass does not renew. Monthly and annual subscriptions can be canceled at any time; cancellation stops the next renewal and access remains available through the paid billing period. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for details.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Every desktop download includes 30 minutes of free use per computer, started from inside the app with no card or account. The time is metered by the license service while the app is unlocked, so changing the clock, reinstalling or deleting local data does not reset it. When it runs out, purchase a plan and enter your license key.

Are updates included?

Yes. You can download product updates while your access is active.
